Georgia Was Won, Texas Can Be Won Too, Plus the Resurgence of HOPE

Looking back…

Texas and Georgia had two of the highest turnout numbers for early voting. Texas and Georgia also had two 2018 election candidates who had proven their turn out the vote abilities. Beto O’Rourke and Stacey Abrams lost their 2018 individual races, coming within small margins needed to win. After losing, they kept their hearts and minds on turning their home states blue. Stacey from Atlanta, Georgia, and Beto from El Paso, Texas, two individuals that captivated voters in the United States, got back in the political spotlight, igniting grassroots campaigns that electrified their electorate, the Democratic party. One state would turn blue. The other would help us see that a geographical broader suburban/rural area voter electorate will require an early, strategic, suburban, and rural area focus.

What Stacey and Beto did…

Stacey and Beto both showed us how strong campaigns should run. They both had an approach that met up directly foot to foot with the masses. I remember my first Beto tear-jerker. He was asked a question about NFL players kneeling. The respect he gave to the NFL players and all of those who might say they disagree was extraordinary.
